Length of time in radio:

8 years

Reason for getting in to radio?:

My son was over here from Adelaide on holidays, always listened to 104.7 while he was here.  They advertised a training course.  I did it and here I am.

Personal Likes:

Happy, uncomplaining people. Kindness to animals and good manners

Personal dislikes:

Insincerity. Cruelty in any shape or form - especially to animals.

Favourite Music:

Everything except Heavy Metal and very heavy, dreary classical.

Hobbies:

I am a grass roots person who loves gardening, composting, and growing my own vegetables, Chooks etc.

Brief Bio:

I also love dolls, Teddies, Gollies.  Old toys.  I restore them for other people and myself.  I love good furniture with character.  Sewing.   Music of course. Antiques.   Dancing. Singing.  I can also listen well.  (Hard to believe?)

What else about me?:

I have brought up 5 children of my own. 4 boys and 1 girl plus 5 of someone else's for 10 years.  I have been a trunk-line telephonist. Ward clerk in a hospital.  A breads carter.  A mannequin (when young)  Sales girl (Gift of the gab).

I never take my life for granted.  I try and pack as much as I can into every day.   My role at Gippsland FM as Program Director has taught me a lot and my big family of people here on the staff.  I love my family.  My friends and take no-one for granted.

I was program director for Gippsland FM for 2½ years and a few years on the Board of Directors but have stepped down to try other things such as interviewing local identities. And filling in for other programs when needed.

Cheers

Bev
